This book is about mental freedom. Its purpose is not to offend anyone or to be xenophobic or racist. This book is about the reality of humankind; a reality that people sometimes don’t want to hear about or become determined enough to change. The most important aspect of this book is to try and help people by making a change in their lives so that they can live like human beings are supposed to live, with respect and dignity for one another; and more importantly, to help poor people. My heart is for the poor people of this world. When you read this book, please keep in mind those who cannot afford anything and please try to make a contribution to help make their lives better. My love goes out to the poor people in this world. We are one. I know what it means to be poor. Poverty is real.

This is my journey and my experiences in mourning and grieving the loss of my husband; something which caught me completely by surprise. I was widowed, with four children. It was an event that changed my life in a matter of seconds. Life, as I knew it, was over. I had to find a way to pick up the pieces of my devastated heart, broken dreams and a shattered life, and then re-build a new life for me and my children; a life that no longer included my beloved husband. I had to find a new meaning in life and a new way to relate to myself and the world around me. I address common issues when dealing with loss: how to mourn as a family; dealing with an identity crisis, as you transition from being married to widowed, and then becoming single again, being a single parent and more.

It’s dedicated to every child overlooked by the system, every adult rebuilding after loss or reinvention, and every crime victim seeking healing. It speaks to convicts and perpetrators striving to make amends, divorcees, the blacklisted and forgotten, and those whose businesses never took off. I honour my family, who taught me the value of quiet strength and integrity. To educators, youth workers, and community leaders who build futures despite the odds — this book is your tribute. What is the future, who is the future, and when is the future? Will I be lying to say that this matter continues to be an unknown subject that we are failing to get it right? It remains the most difficult mystery that we’ve been struggling to unearth. Lacking judgment to believe there can ever be any reach to it.
Most of us have been declined, waived capacities, and facilities in this beautiful world of miseries. After exhausting efforts, utilizing resources striving for a better future; but the irony of where most end up, is unlikely. Until we perish without grasping its sight. While some are still in denial of the future, some are being denied by the future.
Fortunately, this book is presented to make it all clear, as I intend to make it all disappear. Luckily, the future has come to rescue, reminding us of the great stake left to fulfil. For the future is upon us, to let us know.

Hierdie boek vertel hoe ek die Here ontmoet het en Hy my met Sy Heilige Gees gedoop het. Daarna het ek myself in ‘n onmoontlike situasie bevind. Die Here het aan my ‘n gebedsmaat gestuur, met ‘n profetiese gawe, om my te help om my situasie te hanteer. Ná ‘n jaar was ek gereed en het Hy ons in ‘n span verander om mense te help wie desperaat was. Ons het vir 18 jaar as voorbidders saamgebid. God het gesê ons moes ‘n A4 lyntjiesboek en ‘n pen koop en alles neerskryf. Die Heilige Gees het wonderlike boodskappe aan ons gestuur. Ek het sommiges daarvan in hierdie boek ingesluit. My mikpunt met hierdie boek is: om God te verheerlik vir Sy grootsheid.

This book was inspired by a verse I read in Psalm 100:3 “Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.” As a first time mom I want my son to know who GOD IS so that he can be sure of his identity in God and also for him to start relying on God from an early age because once he gets to know and understand who GOD IS and that he belongs to God he will quickly learn who he is in Him and once he knows who he is, in Him no one can convince him out of his conviction and confidence in God. When we teach our children the Word of God, the world cannot take them out of the ways of Lord because there is no better life than the one we have in God! Proverbs 22:6 says, “Teach a child to choose the right path, and when he is older, he will remain upon it.” I am a living proof of this verse because my mom raised me in the ways of the Lord” I have remained in the ways of the Lord and I continue to grow in His love and grace because it is only in Him, that I live and move and have my being!
Deuteronomy 6:5-9, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Take to heart these words that I give you today. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you’re at home or away, when you lie down or get up. Write them down, and tie them around your wrist, and wear them as headbands as a reminder. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates…”

Many people have misconceptions about God’s love. They say you must reach perfection before God can love you. But God didn’t go to a university to find people He would use. He didn’t look for righteous men. He chose ordinary men and women to spread the gospel. Peter was a fisherman; Luke a doctor; Moses was not eloquent; and Paul was a murderer who persecuted the followers of Christ.

Selfs al is jy ‘n betrokke pa, moet jy besef dat tot tyd en wyl ons suksesvol is, ons kinders en kleinkinders grootword in ‘n kultuur van afwesige vaders en vaderlose kinders. Charley se passie is duidelik in elke woord. Dis moeilik om nie geraak te word deur sy aansteeklike optimisme vir dít wat moontlik is wanneer ons die lewe kies en op God vertrou nie. Gedurende ‘n tyd waarin vaderloosheid en geslagsgebaseerde geweld die hele struktuur van die Suid-Afrikaanse samelewing bedreig, het ons meer manne soos Charley nodig.
