Peter Mehlape hails from rural Limpopo and over the years has made his mark as a top African business leader. He started his career as a registered nurse and rose through the ranks to lead various prominent companies in the medical technology field, making a significant contribution to the healthcare landscape across the continent. Peter wears many hats, including being a founder and co-host of the podcast, Off The Clock, patron of Chapter Zero Southern Africa (an integral chapter of the Climate Governance Initiative developed in collaboration with the World Economic Forum) and a fellow at GIBS Business School’s Centre for African Management and Markets (CAMM).
With a career dedicated to enhancing people’s physical and emotional well-being, particularly the vulnerable and marginalised, Peter’s philosophy can be summed up in Cicero’s well-known quote: ‘The good of the people is the chief law.’
